Comprising 65 churches in four program districts, WNCA is led by professional staff working with specialized commissions and committees — all working together to strengthen the spiritual and community life of people and congregations across the Association. We want churches to send in their special programming dates to their Association so that it can be added to the Association and Conference Calendar.
Attention All WNCA Churches and Pastors,
To the pastors and churches of the Western North Carolina Association :
It has been my privilege to serve in the Christian ministry for 49 years. These past 4 years as the Associate Conference Minister for the Western North Carolina Association of the Southern Conference under Dr. Davis’s leadership have been a real blessing.
After much prayer and thought, I believe it is time for me to retire from active ministry as your ACM. My last official day will be 30 April 2025.
I’ve jokingly said that I’ve retired three times before this and managed to fail each time. Maybe this time, I’ll finally get it right.
While I'm sure I will always serve God in some form of ministry, it is time for me to slow down. I’m aware of some things I want to do after I retire. I ask for your prayers as I enter this new phase of my life.
A promise to our churches searching for their next settled pastor: I will continue to send you profiles as often as I receive them until my tenure ends. I am praying that one of them will become your next pastor.
My prayer for each of you is that you will continue to grow in your relationship with God. Please continue the good ministries you are currently doing and look for new opportunities to minister to others in God’s name.
